Reed Details

Our reeds come in two styles: Pro and Elite.

Both the Elite reeds and Pro reeds are made of the highest quality cane available. Elite reeds are made after consultation with the customer to ensure the reed meets the specific needs of the musician.

As much depends on the quality of the cane, we look for cane that offers the best combination of hardness, density and resilience. After completion, CRC reeds are allowed to settle, and then carefully finished to our exacting standards.

Reeds are guaranteed not to leak. We take the utmost care in construction and packaging. It is unlikely that a reed will arrive cracked or damaged, but if it does, it will be replaced at no charge. Your satisfaction is important to us.

English horn and oboe d’amore reeds are available only in Elite.
