Website FAQ

Can I expedite my order?
Yes. Let me know how quickly you need your order and I will make every effort to accommodate your needs.

What’s the difference between an Elite and a Pro oboe reed?
Basically, the Elite reed is one that I would perform on myself. While the Pro oboe reed, although very good, is not quite up to that standard.

How long will the W.R.I.S.T. last?
It will last for many years as long as you take reasonable care of it.

What if some part of the W.R.I.S.T. does not work properly?
Send it back and we’ll fix it.

Will the hook cause any harm to the bell of my instrument?
It shouldn’t. The coating on the hook should prevent any marring of the wood.

Will the hook affect the sound or stability of the instrument?
In my own extensive use, I have not noticed any changes.

What is the difference between the oboe family hook and the soprano clarinet hook?
The bell of the clarinet is quite a bit larger in diameter and needs a different design to help balance the instrument.

What can I do if I sit far enough from the music stand that makes it impossible to use the W.R.I.S.T. since it is designed to attach to the stand?
I suggest you use a microphone stand with a sturdy base of appropriate height (for stability) and attach the device to it. Then you can sit or stand anywhere you desire.

Will the W.R.I.S.T. keep me from having a physical problem?
Not necessarily. But there’s a very good possibility it will!

Does the W.R.I.S.T. attach to the instrument?
No. This is one of its most important design features. It allows you to use or not use it as you feel the need. It’s especially nice when you swab out your instrument. Just lift it off the hook.

Is the W.R.I.S.T. heavy?
No. It’s actually quite light and easy to carry.
